Artists Exhibit New Works at Helston Museum
For the second year consecutively, local artists Jamie Mills and Elle Carbis are exhibiting a collection of works in Helston Museum. The new body of work, 'Lair' contains a diverse range of mediums including photography, drawing, constructed and found objects.
Both artists have a long standing connection with the Cornish landscape; immersing themselves in 'nature', informing a very much physical relationship with the landscape, and also a connection
The show begins on Monday 27th July and runs until Thursday 6th August. Helston Museum opens from 10am till 4pm, and entry is free. To view more of Jamie and Elle’s work go to www.myspace.com/earth_and_air through a very strong sense of heritage.

Printing Contacts.....Kallkwik
Printing Contacts....I have a few, but Karen at KallKwik in Truro is one of the friendliest and most helpful, they can do digital prints and greetings cards at very reasonable prices as well as all your usual printing needs like business cards, leaflets etc. http://www.kallkwik.co.uk/truro/
Display equipement more....card spinner......
Where can I find a card spinner??? This simple question haunted me for ages, I bought numerous inappropriate stands that just didnt fit my cards. In the end I saw one in a shop with the suppliers label still on it, Whoopeeeee!
It was from wire fittings http://www.wirefittings.co.uk/ProductInfo.asp?fdproductId=935 its perfect not very cheap, £97.00 but exactly what I wanted, it looks professional and works just as it should!

Display Equipement
Browser for prints and unframed drawings etc? This one also occupied me for ages too. I purchase a lovely light wood (beach I think) one from http://www.greatart.co.uk/ for £33.00. It works just as it should.
Newsletters and Mailing lists
I have a growing mailing list and often apologise for posting more than one email in a month. However I am told that so long as the news is relevant and new my subsribers are generally happy to recieve the notifications because it inspires them, gives them and idea or motivates them. I subscribe to a lot of mailing lists for exactly this reason and I dont need to look for it, it just comes to me. If you have a mailing list please post your details and events.... and if you would like to join my mailing list please go to www.suzysharpe.co.uk or email suzy.sharpe@yahoo.co.uk

the Artists Nework Cornwall
Hi
I am often asked where I get things from like printmaking equipment or cards printed etc. Which printer I use, where I get canvases etc.
I also have lots of questions to ask. So I thought this would be a good idea.
This started on Facebook so if you would like to become a fan on face book please look up the Artists Network Cornwall.
I think the blog will be easier to find information, but face book may be easier to share. If you subscribe to this blog you will hopefully, received any updates.
So if you have a question please ask and if you have some knowledge to share please share it here!!
See you soon
